Bella DaBalls began her career as part of the infamous trio, Eva Brontosaurus alongside Honi Harlow and Lucrezia Blozia. The trio thrilled audiences at many spectacular and tawdry establishments including The Duplex, HERE, The Knitting Factory, PS 1, The Starlight Lounge, The Slipper Room, The Cutting Room, Crash Mansion, as well as Chief Ike’s in DC and The Mermaid Parade on Coney Island.
After a sold-out swan song, Eva… Extinct?! at Danny’s Skylight, the girls called it a day. Lucrezia headed west and Honi & Bella continued to storm the Big Apple with their special brand of burlesque + variety + booze and calling themselves, Broadville! After popping Comix’s burlesque cherry the girls continue to perform together and apart.
Today, Bella is known for so many things to so many people that it seems wrong to name names, She continues to love her gal, Honi and performs monthly at her show, Harlow’s Hide-A-Way at Crash Mansion. But she also sees other burlesque lovelies as she makes people laugh in a very sexy way all over NYC. Often called the “Queen of Nostalgia”, Bella is not afraid to tackle the 80s with numbers as varied as a tap routine to LL Cool J’s classic, I’m Bad to a ballet interpretation of Journey’s Open Arms to her signature school girl take on Motley Crue’s Smokin’ In The Boys Room. She was once called “The DaBalls” on a marquee and continues to feel very Godfather about it. Her diva-esque vocals are so incredible, that she has been told by audience members that “she has the best voice (I) have ever heard!” The fact that that particular woman was deaf just made it all the sweeter! Clearly, she is one sexy, sassy, funny broad!
Her solo album, “Color Me Beyonce” will be available on iTunes soon. Her Lifetime original movie, Star Light, Star Bright, A Star Breaks Free: The Bella DaBalls Story is in the works and her children’s book, Bedtime Fun with Bella DaBalls is almost available on those e-reader things but better on the color one! While you’re waiting on those, check out Bella on Rai Uno! Italian TV & Bella DaBallerina!
She never says no to a cocktail and would like one now, please.
